Browns becoming investigated for alleged tanking

The NFL has opened an investigation into allegations that the Cleveland Browns provided incentives to then–head mentor Hue Jackson to get rid of game titles during the 2016 and ’17 seasons.

In an emailed assertion, the league verified that previous Securities and Trade Fee chair Mary Jo White, of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, is top an unbiased probe into allegations designed by Jackson in February. “The evaluate is ongoing and is anticipated to conclude before long,” wrote an NFL spokesperson.
